  11. WHY USE IT:
  12. This is a article viewer for the Project Galactic guide.
  13. So, if you want to read the PGG articles in an easy way,
  14. this application is what you need.

  17. WHAT DOES IT REQUIRE:
  18. % You must have all/some of the article-files downloaded to your Macintosh.
  19. % The PGG-Viewer has a size of 850K.
  20. % With all article-files installed the PGG-Viewer will have a size of 2.5M.

  23. WHAT CAN IT DO:
  24. Well, when you have installed all the articles, you have a lot of ways to
  25. browse through the articles.
  26. % You can use the arrows to go to the first, previous, next and last article.
  27. % You can use the buttons namned Title,Summary,Author,Date,ArtNo,Text,Index
  28. to search for a word in the corresponding text-field.
  29. % You can choose one of the cross-references by using the Xref button.
  30. % You can choose one off the 16 latest read articles by using the History button.

  32. To top it all off, you can choose to make a papercopy of the current article
  33. by using the Print button.

  36. HOW TO INSTALL/REMOVE ARTICLES:
  37. % Installing articles.
  38. First an advice to make installing easy.
  39. Put all the article-files in one folder. (This means all the *.NEWS files.)
  40. Then follow these steps:
  41.  
  42. 1. Start the PGG-viewer and press the "Settings" button.
  43. 2. Press the "Install articles from file..." button.
  44. 3. Select one of the article-files.
  45. 4. Wait for the articles to be installed. (This may take some time :-)
  46. 5. If you want to install more article-files, redo step 2, 3 and 4.
  47. 6. Press the "Articles" button.
  48. 7. Now you can browse through all the installed articles.

  50. % Removing articles.
  51. If you want to update an article-file, just remove it by follow these step
  52. and make a new installing of the article-file.

  54. 1. Start the PGG-viewer and press the "Settings" button.
  55. 2. Press the "Remove articles from file..." button.
  56. 3. Select one of the article-files.
  57. 4. Wait for the articles to be removed. (This may take some time :-)
  58. 5. If you want to remove more article-files, redo step 2, 3 and 4.

  60. % Removing all articles.
  61. If you want to reomve all articles to be able to make a clean installing of
  62. article-files. Then follow these step.

  64. 1. Start the PGG-viewer and press the "Settings" button.
  65. 2. Press the "Remove all articles..." button.
  66. 3. Press the "Reomve" button to remove all articles, or press "cancel" to quit.
  67. 4. Wait for all the articles to be removed. (This may take some time :-)
